I think this is the key to why people in my life have been surprised that I (who just turned 25 recently) function and live my life as an adult. Or, probably more often the way that functions is—they are surprised at my age because they have seen me be an adult so much they think I must be older

No, there isn't. There's an underlying structure of how people have said things before that it replicates. That might feel like truth and sometimes might line up to truth but sometimes it lines up to nonsense.
