A screen printing screen being exposed under UV light.

Made a screen and it was fine! I have worked out what the problem was and now I have a solution. Dry the screens for 15 minutes with a hairdryer on cool and then leave them to dry for another hour.

We're going to do local shop flyering and posters but I think local social media groups is a great idea.

Right. Well I'm glad that worked! We sent flyers to our stallholders to distribute, had an advert in a magazine (waste of money) and we were featured in Pressing Matters. Also we did a lot of social media. I think you're right about local social media groups.

Got any tips then for getting more people in?

Good! We are going to try some different tactics to try and get customers in next year. We do not get loads of people in but good sales. I'm desperate to get more people in.

How was your print fair?

We have a fair next weekend... I'm dreading it.

I really cannot stand exclusivity!

You worded it in such a way as to make it sound very exclusive and now you are taking it personally. I'm sure you were worthy of getting in to the event but there are many other great craftspeople.

I hate that exclusivity.

I'm sorry but there are thousands of best makers in the UK.

My son had the problem that the teaching was terrible and nobody would give him any feedback on his work.

I remember doing this to magazine scans years ago. I think you separated the luminance from the chroma and then blurred the chroma slightly and overlaid the luminance.
