Once this is all said and done the government is going to undergo a major revision, probably along with the Constitution. The probability increases everyday that blood is going to be spilled in order to restore our freedoms. Once done, mechanisms must be enacted to make sure it never happens again.

There are people in the state who want to give Tillis props for 'standing up to Trump'. My comment on our local Indivisible page was pretty strong on the subject but nevertheless true.

I am absolutely sympathetic to the concept of non-violence. I pray you are right, but this time, I think it won't end peacefully and I'm prepared to do what I have to do in defense of what I believe. Tragically, for someone who grew up in the Vietnam era, I *am* thinking outside the box.

This isn't the sixties. In order for non-violent protest to work you have to have the civil engagement of the object of the protests. Consider Germany in 1932-33 as the crucible for non-violence meeting with authoritarianism. How do you think that would have worked for the non-violent protesters?

I absolutely hope that your vision becomes a reality. I really do. The problem is that it's being premised on the belief that there will be an election in 2028. Or 2026, for that matter.

I don't think Patel is a DEI hire. I think he's the guy who's going to put together a new secret police force, culling the worst from the FBI and from the ranks of the LE industry. Everything that is getting done so far points to the establishment of a single-party state.

Trump knows, and so do the Republicans. They are using Musk as cover, as plausible deniability and what will anyone do? Musk has enough money to fight any number of lawsuits, and if -- and when -- the knife reaches the gristle he can just hop over to a non-extradition country.

I wish I had your faith in that, I really do.
