US strikes last June did NOT obliterate Iran’s nuclear program as Trump trumpeted. Yet the Director of the Defense Intelligence Agency Gen. Jeffrey Kruse was dismissed by Trump for stating the strikes set Iran back months — not eliminated its capability. Trump lied, & a top analyst lost his job. 🇨🇦

This is interesting, just in from the BBC: Trump has argued his tariffs are necessary to reduce the trade deficit - the amount by which imports exceed exports - but the US trade deficit reached a fresh high this week, widening by 2.1% compared to 2024 and hitting roughly $1.2 trillion (£890bn). 🇨🇦

Which is surely why his son in law, who has no mandate whatsoever from the US electorate, is front and centre in Trump’s foreign policy manoeuvres.

Am I the only one who is confused here? Trump insisted the US strike on Iran last year completely obliterated the regime's nuclear facilities and ended any possibility of future weapon development. So why is another strike now needed? Has the press sought any answers? 🇨🇦
