Day 17

I made something a little catchy in the little amount of time I had today. Messed around with a drum loop and some basslines which probably aren't correct, but it's absolutely fine!

Good stuff.

Day 16

I had less than half an hour today but I was able to whip up something that sounded decent.

Days 13-15

RAISE UP YOUR BAT INCOMPLETE COVER (with a little bit of autotune just to get familiar with plugins)

I was going to try and make this more refined but getting stuck on this for an entire week would've been detrimental for progress. I think I'm satisfied with this though.

Day 12

A recreation of my favorite track from Blasphemous, Baile De Violetas. It's the boss theme for all four Amanecida Bosses in the Stir of Dawn DLC, with each boss having a different main instrument.

I only did the first section as that's all I had time for today.

ok i've just now noticed the audio crackling, it didn't render that way in the audio or when i video-rendered them together with Premiere

if there's any way to prevent Bluesky from crackling up my video I'd love to hear answers, this is looking like an occurring problem.

Regardless I think this is my best progressive day so far. I finally got the hang of how to actually use the drums this time, so maybe in the future I can make better percussion arrangements.

I also haven't fiddled with the million plugins and audio effects that FL offers, but that'll come later ig

A couple of the harmonies are wrong, and that's fine. I wasn't able to discern a few notes from the strings section in this part of the instrumental, plus some bass notes at the beginning. The part of the song I was recreating was 1:02-1:26

Days 10-11

Didn't do much yesterday so I knocked progress out today. I've been a huge fan of Kamex's work for a LONG while now, and Peepover is one of the songs that I've had on replay from VS. Retrospecter Part 2.

I also threw in a Fight to the Finish motif since Kamex loves to do that as well:)

Day 9.

An arrangement of Fallen Down. Wasn't able to record the arrangment tracks as FL Studio has decided to freeze.

Regardless, I'm proud of this one, even if there are a few irregularities in the notes. I had a lot of fun playing around with the Slide Function for the bass and strings.

Think I'm gonna try and recreate a few songs for the next few days instead of trying to come up with original stuff

Day 8

Had an idea that devolved into doing too much with too many meshing melodies and instruments. The synth bass I had was really good. Couldn't find a more trumpet-sounding horn which kind of killed my creative process for this.

I'm getting a bit better at Bass composition which is huge.

Days 5-7

This was all I could muster up I had no idea what I wanted to do 💀

Day 4

Didn't really know what to go for today so I just made a more complicated Piano melody paired with some simple drums.

I think I might spend the next few days making a longer song and seeing how that goes.

Also yes, figured out how to post videos on Bluesky.

Day 3

Wanted to try to make something a little more upbeat. The piano doesn't really fit that well but I didn't know what to change it into since I'm still just making really simple melodies. Got up to 8 instruments this time, so it's a little better than what Day 1 was.

Day 2

Spent the entire hour trying to learn how to install Plugins 💀

Today marks the 1st day of an entire month where I'm going to spend at least an hour each day learning FL Studio and re-learning music production in general.

Shame I can't post audio files but it'll be fine. Might post what I have on the final day on YouTube somewhere if this goes well enough.
