Today is conditional counterspells, with one of my favorite commons being Divert Disaster! Since the ramp is tied to being paid, I've found that this squishes out some nice value in mono blue and non-green decks!

They wish! Just a clan of fiercely brutal turtle warriors with a keen eye for weak spots and the ability to flank with their brethren.

TPK'd the party last night -- a bunch of warrior turtles ran around smacking them to death, one of them critically failed on feeblemind and was then turned into a tortoise, and one lone survivor turned into a earth elemental and burrowed away.

This guy driving my uber asked me what I was in town for. I told him it was a MTG con and he was like explain a turn of magic and I was flabbergasted and told him some basic mechanics and he was totally sold. Love getting people into this game. He said he’d check it out.
