Avaerie became homeless when he got lost from his parents at 6 years old. While he grew up living at the Red Door tavern, it never really felt like home to him. The only place that felt like home was Rivin’s apartment.

Making a homebrew species in DnDBeyond is so much more complicated than I was expecting it to be. 🙃
