01.10.2025 12:07 โ ๐ 21 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 1From a series of tips for artists and creators. The text at the top reads "Ways to become a better artist that don't involve actually making art." Below that is a subtitle that reads "Or how to supplement your 10,000 hours." This is the header panel for tip number 1, entitled "Know you are enough." The quote below the title text reads "Quality is a word that assumes all parties have the same point of view. Judy Elliott." Below this text is an illustration of a three toed sloth, facing away from the viewer, holding up a hand mirror and smiling at the face they sees reflected in it, emoting a small heart above their head.
From a series of tips for artists and creators entitled "Ways to become a better artist that don't involve actually making art." This image includes the full set of panels for one tip. The panels will also be posted individually in this thread and will include a full transcription for every panel. The panels themselves consist mostly of text with some images. It's October and you know what that means - ART CHALLENGES. In light of this I would like to reintroduce a series I did during 2020, when everyone was experiencing massive burnout.
These are ways to improve *without actually making art*.
I'll be posting them in this thread throughout the month.
Happy Wonder Woman Day

Comic panel: over the shoulder of the wretched figure, "*SNNNRK* What?" The angel is flitting happily. "One artist's achievement need not come at the expense of yours!"
Comic panel: Angel beaming, glowing with righteousness. "There is literally NOTHING stopping you from making a great comic of your own!"

A loosely sketched turquoise scene of a woman standing at the foot of an arching tree chunk, watching a fire falling from the sky towards a structure in the distance. The woman and the fire are both highlighted in red.
A loosely sketched drawing in a multitude of colors, depicting a vast many-eyed tendril wave thing stretching out of the sea towards a one-legged figure holding a cane on a cliff, who is reaching out to touch it. There is a burst of light and color radiating from their point of contact.

a vertical comic page in warm colors. the first panel depicts a character lying in bed with a thought bubble showing the color palette of the comic and an old-style alarm clock in the foreground. the second main panel is of an arched doorway on a cobblestone street, surrounded by panels depicting things like houseplants and decorative patterns. one panel shows a bookshelf. there is a small panel above the door depicting a stylized eye.
a landscape comic page depicting an armored figure standing between two cliffs, with the sun shining behind then. the figure is shown in a panel perhaps searching for something, then reacting to something. the third panel is of a fairly derpy looking frog.
