I disagree. But I think we can rest assured that software developers (including AI) will find ways of spending any performance hardware vendors can come up with. But the distribution of compute may very well change.

We have a gold rush. Gold has been found on claims where you'll need heavy equipment. Now it appears you can find gold with a shovel. This changes barriers to entry and thus both claims and heavy equipment vendors needs reevaluation.

I am not a fan of CVSS either. I would prefer a somewhat objective way of scoring vulnerabillities, but CVSS in my opinion does a poor job of it. Having 100 levels of severity is outright bullshit. It suggest accuracy in estimating severity that just isn't there.
