I have not been lucky enough to have seen the Canto run for 3 years, but I have been blessed to be part of it for as long as I have. . . so let us come together to celebrate the day as not a goodbye but a see you later in one grand ball.♡

Rough drafts of what would eventually become the Bel Canto's signature Grey Fleet windmill vanes logo. The original concept was a vintage-inspired hatched illustration of a whole windmill, including the tower, traced from an in-game screenshot.

Four more iterations of the logo with a distressed linocut print style wordmark, showing the bones of the Bel Canto's eventual typographic style, with a script font and a stylized serif font, were laid from the start of the logo concept. The wordmark reads "Chateau le Mer d' Sud".

The modern Bel Canto logo, now simplified to just the six windmill vanes and a solid version of the wordmark underneath, which now bears the name "Bel Canto".

I'm also pretty honored that I got to be a small part of it in its planning stages way back in 2020, when @genovia.bsky.social and @garlicnauts.bsky.social approached me about a logo for their winery idea. It took a couple years of on-and-off discussion and iteration, and it was realized in 2022.
