For the longest time I tell people getting into fitness, you can't "accidently" develop muscle.
That said, I just looked at myself post workout today and I'm like sorry when did I get this big?!
By my side through thick and thin. Even when they had no obligation to do so.
I hate seeing people who are bullied by their parents but feel some proverbial anchor to stay under that weight because they "should"
No one asked to be born. We owe them nothing they don't earn.
Proud of you dude!
This resonates so fucking hard. I was thrown out at 16 and have refused to reconcile with my mom, even when she tried to at 22. Saying she was proud of the man I'd become. (Guilt ridden crocodile tears)
That shit made me who I am and taught me the value of chosen family. The people who have been
cept for all the people loosing their jobs.

I love what they do, to others and to me when I wear one. Someone so pent and needy and desperate to have me use them to get off. I love that headspace around it.
But the practicality of the object less so. Often clunky and get in the way. It's a hard one!
Not pictured - the sea of gravy that then drowned it all and the tender stem broccoli under it.

25.02.2026 19:46 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I can't explain why they spoke to me
25.02.2026 19:44 β π 5 π 0 π¬ 0 π 1Me stood next to Fischer. A purple wolf with emerald green eyes, drawn in a style that seems rushed and dripping, like the paint is still wet and dripping down the page. He looks piercingly stern as he prowls towards the viewer.
Me knelt next to Amythest. A side profile of a purple wolf with emerald green eyes. She is in a liquid dripping style, like the colour is leaking from her. She stares knowingly out the frame. I'm lonely to the side like "the fuck have I just done"
So I go in, and ask.
And the gallery owner offers me something I cant in good conscience say no to. This kind of deal will never ever come again.
So now am now the owner of two Robert Oxley originals. Two pieces that - I CANT EXPLAIN WHY THEY SPOKE TO ME (lol rite?!)
& its still not quite real
And then two weeks ago, I'm working in town and see a new launch by him and think. I can afford prints. They're not THAT expensive. But, they're not the ones I've had my eye on forever.
So my fiancΓ© says, go in and ask. Maybe they have prints of the ones you want...
But, not originals...
Then my company scores an amazing contract and the owner sells up to the business and I get a rather ok bonus. I buy myself a switch 2 and plan a holiday with the fiancΓ©. I can afford a few nice lil things.
But
I could never afford original art from a private gallery. Thats for the successful people
Then years later I managed to buy a house. The most expensive thing I've done. All my safety nets gone. Every financial decision has risks, potential rewards.
But even then I could never afford original art from a private gallery. That's for successful people.
