The problem with political discussion these days IMO is that everybody just wants to cite common sense as their argument instead of having an honest argument based on agreed facts. Common sense is just a thought ending cliché that doesn’t help anybody.

Almost as annoying as the coworker who regularly comes over to my desk just to tell me that they "really feel sorry for me" concerning the political beliefs they think I hold.

It's like they are literally sharing their contact lists with each. as soon as I block and stop one, two more come in.

the frequency at which candidates and now Turning Point USA send me texts for my support is infuriating.

If I ever find out who gave my phone number to the GOP...

This is a safe space.

It is rarely rooted in critical thought.

Its ultimately just a fallacy of logic where the individual assumes that they are right and everybody else shares the same opinion

People say they want to bring back common sense, but they can never tell me what that is.

Please don’t cite common sense. Cite critical thinking and show your work.
