Putting a small platform like a box/empty cookie tin on the weight scale that the luggage can balance on so you can read the number on the scale works too! I had one of those portable luggage scales before but it broke pretty fast so I prefer the regular weight scale

When drawing "sexy" things, personally my goal is not to make it look "hot" but rather "pretty"...?

I literally have one panel left but I also have been increasingly abusing the white ink as I go on, I think it's time for bed

Seriously, the line variation with just one nib... Also I've had these for more than a decade, and they never went on smooth every time I tried. Even did the lighter thing and all. SUDDENLY IT'S JUST WORKING PERFECTLY right out of my dusty pen box after few bad lines, im!!!??

???!!?? After ALL THESE YEARS of on and off fighting to get dip pens to work for me, suddenly they don't seem so bad?! The G-pen is still more fine point than I'm used to, but mannnn was I just using crappy ink this whole time? 😂

I never think to buy chisel tips, but apparently I always use up the ink on those so fast when I get one (usually for free, part of a set or someone handed it down). And I forget I ever had one.
Or they tend to be calligraphy pens with water-based ink, and I can't do water-based. For many reasons.

I tend to like toothy paper and dip pens are not the best match...

Debating if I bus to the art store (terrible traffic Thursday) to "wait it out" and get a pen I want, or save my energy, go home in traffic, and just dig through my existing supplies, somehow diy-hack some dried up pens that I know exist somewhere or attempt dip pens, which I never really fell for.

I've read too much shoujo manga in my youth where the pair I liked almost always did not end up as endgame, so I have turned into this.

So, ink zine 2 this week and then scan/clean up/print next week! I'm good on schedule. Still cramming but doable!!

I'm SO tempted to tone this comic but I won't. I WON'T. Honestly, even prints sell more than what I priced it at. I should stop putting more work into it. Truly just a passion project 🙃
