How to tune a snare drum head.
1. Tighten all the lugs finger tight in a clockwise pattern.
2. Stand on the drum skin and then tighten the lugs with a drum key until the skin crackles slightly.
3. Repeat step 2 until you run out of thread.
4. Your snare drum is now correctly tuned...
