Sometimes I post shit (9/10 it's me bitching about AI) and walk away from Bluesky only to come back to see my notifications and wonder wtf happened before I remember what I posted.

This genuinely infuriates me. The constitutionally mandated postal service, which does not have to turn a profit ever, is always under attack.

My dad worked for the USPS and enjoyed it there. I've been hired by them (I have orientation at the end of the month). Small businesses depend on it.

two reasons for why I've seen this is the case
1) is that the current state of the world is shit and shoujo started reflecting more escapist fantasies accordingly
2) it seems like the content in shoujo faced more scrutiny around the mid 00s due to its more explicit nature and there were imposed laws

I'm fairly certain the reason our bedroom ceiling is splitting is because there is some serious water damage threatening the integrity of it. When I reported the first stain in 2024, they just came and painted over it and then the storm that flooded my car in November did this.

The fact that I am more excited by seeing human character designs in Pokemon than I am by any actual new Pokemon is a little sad. I'm not really complaining because I haven't played the games in a decade, but the human designs have just gotten so fucking solid and fucking spunky.
