NGL… it’s hard to *not* see.

After a prolonged break, I'm pickin' up where my last stream left off!

Finishing up color work, then getting back to some pencil sketches, so everyone can finally have some progress on their requests!

That did ease my mind a little. Now, I just wanna get her away from those horrible hospital beds. >_<

Hoping the same, believe me!

Other concerns were still valid, though, concerning things like blood pressure, glucose levels, etc. So, they’ve been keeping an eye on her until that all levels off. It’s a slow process, but with any luck, she’ll be home tomorrow, finally! Keep your fingers crossed!

UPDATE: So, the fill everyone in, the good news is that it was NOT, in fact, a heart attack, as we had feared. It was hypertension, as was confirmed after @redkammy.bsky.social underwent a stress test two days ago. Her heart, as I’ve always known, is extremely strong, actually.

No time to be wrecked. Not yet, anyway.

I’ll wait til this weekend, and sleep it off after I give her the most memorable Valentine’s Day I can manage. ;)

I’ll keep everyone posted. But, I’ve already told her not to do this again.

Her response was that I wasn’t being fair, since I’ve done similar to her (low-blood sugar related incidents) at least 5 times now, and she should get at least 4 more trips in. >_<

Her logic is… disturbingly sound. >_<

They ultimately felt it best to keep her overnight for observation.

Currently, she’s asleep (duh… it’s 5:30am here… :P I should be, too).

Hoping they’ll be able to release her today. But, that’s really dependent on what they find today after the meds they gave her last night.

The doctors pretty quickly determined that the symptoms plus the results indicated she may have just had a mild heart attack.

She was awake and responsive the entire time. So, while it wasn’t severe, it was still serious.

She was brought to a nearby hospital by ambulance for observation.

She didn’t start feeling symptoms (back and chest pain, shortness of breath) til after we got to work. She told me about it, but tried working through it for a bit longer.

By 11:30, we decided to go to urgent care. Once there, they gave her an EKG and checked her blood pressure, which was very high

@redkammy.bsky.social was admitted to the hospital last night after showing initial signs of a mild heart attack.

They admitted her to keep an eye on her while they work out a medication plan.

Yesterday was a long day.

To clarify, the doctors suspect it based on back and chest pain, difficulty taking deep breaths and high blood pressure. She’ll be staying overnight for observation. Hoping to have a game plan to reverse the symptoms tomorrow with any luck.

Stream will return next weekend! For all the football fans, enjoy the game! (Just try to avoid property damage. : P)

I won’t be subjecting my streaming audience to that. He can get pretty obnoxious about it. It’s one thing to get into the game. It’s another to get loud enough to make the neighbor’s dog bark, and then scream at the dog through the walls to shut up. : P

ell, for most people in the US, it’s Super Bowl Sunday. For our downstairs neighbor, it’s a particularly loud religious experience.

Color work tonight! Hoping to finish up a piece for someone who has been waiting SUPER patiently! :)

Due to the current snowstorm in our area, I will not be streaming tonight.

This is more in anticipation that we might lose power. Hopefully, we won’t! But, with up to 18” or more coming… : P

I’ll work on stuff for as long as I can, regardless! 🙂

By the time I get everything organized and the stream started, it'll be time enough for a 2 hour stream (granted, better than nothing). But, instead, I'll just work on stuff on my own tonight and take pics to post in the usual socials at the end of it all. :)

Sorry, I was SUPER lazy today and didn't set my system up in time to start streaming at my usual time. Been sorting through the pieces I picked up at MFF and looking over what I owe by ANE and, now another hour has passed. >_<
