Totally agree! If it takes longer to get to the person than to do the work that especially bothers me.

There needs to be some cheat code to skip a robot on the phone. I also usually repeat "agent" but I should update that to "human" like you.

Once I got past the robot my reservation update took about 1 minute.

Called two hotels to modify a reservation.

One a human answered and the request was finished in 5 minutes.

The other an AI assistant answered and I'm still on the phone with it 5 minutes later trying to get it to understand my last name.

Speaking of atrophy it's not often I'm logged into an Oxide rack to troubleshoot so yesterday I grabbed a small issue to flex those skills.

It scares me how poor some developers' written communication is.

I shouldn't need to read multiple resources to understand a "simple" feature or integration. Don't forget to document your context for the new developer. Not new in experience. New to the concept.

I was expecting a larger margin. Granted I tested in WSL2 rather than bare metal but it's wild that the MacBook chip was right there with the 9950X3D.
