Thune hits brakes on Russia sanctions package The Senate bill is now in limbo after President Donald Trump pledged to take action Monday.

Senate Leader Thune got badly played by Trump on the Russian sanctions bill. 85 co-sponsors. Mike Johnson said he would have move it in the House. Would have put our Congress and the US on the right side of history.

Instead we got cowardice and appeasement.
