With all the depressing happenings, it just feels amazing to finally feel optimistic about something tonight.

Plan C is of the utmost importance, as Plan B appears to be back in the gutter...
I'm very curious about the face Melinda makes when talking about Damian; like she's recounting a painful memory.
It's also worth noting that the Shopkeeper's beginning to be suspicious of Loid & his political leanings.

And in one fell swoop Yor has made more progress on Strix than Loid or Anya have in 2 seasons!
Also, I get not being tuned into politics, but holy crap Yor! It takes learning her full name, being told who she is married to, & her outright saying what her position is for it to click for Yor.

Wow! We actually got some really great characterization for Yor this week!
Her feeling out of place & worried about being 'normal' is so good for both her as a stepmom & being undercover. Though, I'm curious how much it matters when your brother is in the secret police...

Spy x Family Season 3 - Episode 5

I can't stop thinking of that one episode of The Simpsons when Marge tries to join a country club but only has one dress that she keeps having to tailor to look slightly different each time.

But lets talk about Obey Your Master!
It was so fun to see her trolling Tamamo throughout the race & even getting some shine from Creek's trainer on her positioning. But that ending was amazing!
The visual of breaking Tamamo's zone & showing that she is the real threat in this race was spectacular!

It is genuinely shocking & upsetting to see Oguri struggling so much with the rougher style & longer race.
We even get a bit of Tamamo's shock before she triggers her final spurt in a fantastic display.

I love that there is focus given to the more aggressive style of foreign horses.
Foreign competitors are nothing new to Umamusume, but this feels like the first time they are a significant threat, not just to take the race, but to the wellbeing of our heroes.

We had to wait, but we finally get to see the Tamamo & Oguri rematch. I am so psyched whenever these two are on screen together.
They have such a fun chemistry, especially when it brings out Oguri's competitive nature & Tamamo's brassiness.

Umamusume: Cinderella Gray - Episode 17

I missed watching this silly horse girl so much!

Maybe the best episode of the series so far!
Really great animation, hilarious gags, & a wacky races plot that shoves all our zany characters together & gives them something to aim for made this an unforgettable episode in one of the best anime of the season & one that I look forward to every week!

I think my favorite thing about Shampoo is that she seems to be keenly aware of exactly where to prod Ranma or Akane for maximum effect & does so with gusto!
She's such a chaos goblin & is so much fun to see her stir shit up every week!

I love that there is a regular delivery girl in this field of maniacs!
Someone get her out of here before she gets hurt!

She's so cute when she's doing her evil plotting!

Ranma ½ Season 2 - Episode 5

It's so downright unsettling to see Ranma act like a girl.
Also, Akane being over every single character that shows up remains a highlight.

So let's talk about Kudo's plan...
I don't hate it. I love that it makes Star's sacrifice feel important to the story & brings everything full circle.
However, I just feel so bad for Deku having to sacrifice something entrusted to him by his idol &, presumably, go back to being quirkless.

Edgelord Deku is never totally gone, just waiting for him moment to reappear!
There's so much to love about Deku. Seeing him utilize his understanding of quirks twist & combine them(similar to AFO) as well as using Black Whip to it's fullest drives home what makes him special, not just OFA.

It's heartbreaking to see Shigaraki's own grandmother lose faith that he can be reached, resigning herself to destroying him.
It also speaks to Deku's character how he refuses to forget that he is a person, heart & all, & doubles down on his efforts to reach him.

Just because they're evil doesn't mean that they can't use the power of friendship too.
It's tough to follow maybe the best 2 ep stretch of the series so far & I definitely feel my attention waning during the longer bouts of exposition.
With such a massive shift in focus, a setup ep was inevitable.

My Hero Academia: Final Season - Episode 5

I'll never understand how I was so late to get on the Mirko train. She is so damn cool & cute here!

A totally normal reaction for a noise complaint.
The only question is who is Scarlet going to wallop; the scheming noble or the flirty knight?
I wonder how this ties back into the demon king or isekai plot.

Diana seems fun & this is the first time Scarlet seems either willfully ignorant or dense about someone's advances.
I'm curious how/why she lost her powers & how it will inevitably be solved by Scarlet punching someone's lights out.

For real, stop explaining to Scarlet why your not taking damage. It's not going to go well for you.

We're going on a road trip! I love the jump cut when Scarlet remembered who she was traveling with!
Are we just going to ignore the isekai'd woman that broke up Scarlet's marriage & started distributing guns to the evil nobility?
They said she went missing, but it feels like a very pressing matter.

Who would have thought that pumping kids with chemicals & not letting them sleep until they go through puberty in one swoop overnight would make them all extremely unhinged.
I have zero clue where we are going with Ono at this point, but I can't wait for next week!

Trying to be intimidating vs actual intimidation.
It's wild to see Niko have a similar effect of Shiori as she does Sanda. She shrugs off their efforts to push her away & breaks through their shells.
She's been around for about 10 minutes & has already firmly established herself in this story.

Oh no, I like Niko a lot!
She has such a different energy from Shiori & really brings out the kid in Sanda & lets him act his age.
I wonder if his conflicting emotions are what's causing him his Santa-Block.

We got a couple really interesting wrinkles from our hitman. Sanda is already in love with Shiori, so maybe his death only triggers if he sees them that way as Santa? His perspective on her has been a focal point.
I'm very happy to have Saburou as a teacher as Sanda tries to regain his Santa powers.
