Bingo. The guitar top is a little like a speaker cone, the energy from the strings vibrates it, and that's where the sound comes from. If the top was really stiff you'd get very little sound, like an unplugged electric guitar.

Certainly report it, Uber will have the driver's badge number. As to whether you can get a refund, I don't know.

Freenow is quite good for calling black cabs if you would rather avoid Uber.
