Extraction of rare-earth minerals in #Myanmar is fueling the conflict and leaving a toxic footprint from chemicals used. This is one of the wider envirnomental impacts of the conflict, that also sees widescale deforestation and makeshift oil refining

Thanks to my friend Harriet for pointing out that the women went to Christ's tomb and saw he was not there, the angels showed up to describe what happened, & the women then told the apostles, who dismissed them. A Biblical account of women not being believed.

AOC and Bernie in front of the rally crowd in Denver
Zoomed out crowd shot of 34,000 people in downtown Denver with Colorado mountains in the background
Tonight an unbelievable **34,000 people** gathered for our Denver rally to take on billionaires and win our country back.
This was the largest political gathering in Denver since Obama in 2008.
Also bigger than the 2024 DNC.
And the largest ever rally in Bernie’s career (and obviously, mine too).
Bernie Sanders, AOC, and Greg Casar on stage in Tucson in front a crowd of 23,000 people.
Tucson, Arizona today.
Original projected attendance was 3,000 people.
23,000 showed up.
Text: The new vice provost, appointed by Columbia, will review curriculum, nontenure faculty hiring and leadership "to ensure the educational offerings are comprehensive and balanced."
We need a name for this person. The vice provost for authoritarian compliance?

Both domestic and international news outlets are not telling you about the American pushback.
For example, did you hear about the 15k people who just came to the "Fight Oligarchy and Authoritarianism" rally with Bernie and AOC in Arizona?
Unheard of outside of campaign seasons.
I needed this today

As Trump tries to dismantle the Department of Education, remember that his plan to cut the corporate tax rate to 15% would give the 100 largest corporations a tax cut larger than the entire department's K-12 budget.
Really think about how twisted this all is.
Incroyable. Je suis sans mot. Je regarde le tout défiler avec un peu de rage et beaucoup d’impuissance.

CEO pay is up 1,085% since 1978, while typical worker pay is up just 24%.
Why do we always hear "we can't afford to pay our workers more" but never "we can't afford to pay our CEO more"?
