We’ve now served formal notice of strike action on 27 & 28 November.

Management must withdraw the plan to make 400+ of us redundant or risk escalating and sustained industrial action.

London’s Trans Pride March Just Shattered Its Turnout Record Organizers say it was the largest transgender rights march in the world.

Reminder that 100,000 people marched for Trans Pride in London earlier this year, but because they weren't violent fascists, there was minimal press coverage, unlike the Nazis today.

Evaluating the impact of two decades of USAID interventions and projecting the effects of defunding on mortality up to 2030: a retrospective impact evaluation and forecasting analysis USAID funding has significantly contributed to the reduction in adult and child mortality across low-income and middle-income countries over the past two decades. Elon Musk casually, and illegally, dismantled USAID. According to a new study in the Lancet, that action will lead to *14 million* premature deaths between 2025 and 2030.

Again: Elon Musk is directly responsible for 14 million coming deaths. 4.5 million will be children.

NEW from me: China's CO2 emissions fell ~1.6% in the first quarter and have now been flat or down for more than a year. This is the first time on record that emissions are falling due to clean energy growth, not slow power demand.

In November last year the National Audit Office warned that cuts to flood defence spending meant that 25% of flood defence projects had been abandoned and 40% fewer homes would be protected by 2027. A year later, we have this. But the problem isn't actually as simple as government underspending. 1/6

At the COP29 climate summit, Keir Starmer said he wasn't going to tell people how to live their lives.

That's not what people want to hear.

I've written about what he could have said instead.
