I love this approach because absolutism can be a barrier to participation. It’s more effective if many people greatly reduce spending with a store than for only a handful of people to boycott. Small changes can have a bigger and more sustainable impact.

Maybe it’s because I’m a colonial historian but so many of these white nation states seem to behave exactly like they did in the 19th century: ‘your leaders aren’t right for you,’ ‘we’re only killing you/colonizing you/installing puppet leaders for your own good’

What exactly is the cutoff for "low earning" in these threats to academic degrees?

I ask not just because they are obviously targeting the humanities, but because a lot of librarian jobs (and education jobs) are objectively low earning...

I would love for workplaces to understand that having a parking lot cleared of blizzard snow is not necessarily going to make a commute feasible for workers who do not live on the edge of the parking lot
