This book is probably not relevant to my beautiful and perfect parent followers, it's more about society in general. But a VERY interesting read

You should read it to be encouraged because the stories are horrendous

Kids respond really well to consistent, confident boundaries but that's mostly what they aren't getting. Also the author points out that kids learn to be human from their parents so parents need to model what they teach - self-control, conscientiousness, etc. Really fascinating book overall

It's good and a pretty quick read, and the solutions are very simple and sort of obvious, but have to be enforced consistently

Yes! Author is an family medicine MD/clinical psychologist and cites lots of papers. The answer is basically "culture change, lack of confidence Your Way Is Correct"
