The first two were got from Mr Gameways in Toronto. Not sure where I got Bushido; might have been there, or in a local hobby shop. I suspect the latter as I know they also stocked the original RQ boxes set, which I didn’t buy.

Pretty sure my first DnD was not Holmes, but 1e ADnD.

Result: some notes for later re-do, but overall pretty pleasant. Not a failure.

It was a wonderful and tightly designed fantasy tactics boardgame that weakened at other aspects of play; our group started there and then moved to 13th Age by preference because of our comfort with TOTM play over hex and counter. Since moved on to other games; never back to 4e tho.

Frankly, if you’re going to fling paint at something to make a political point, I’m just fine if you pick a Picasso.

Primarily Hero System and Call of Cthulhu, with dabbling side trips in RuneQuest, Traveller, and D&D. These days that’s lead to: Delta Green (CoC but better), Pathfinder, and, still, Classic Traveller.

Perhaps now we can finally agree that the house needs cleaning top to bottom?

When I play Mythos-type adventures, I choose Delta Green; I think it’s one of the best BRP variants ever. And the reason it builds on for why these PCs do what they do is solid and clever.
