isn't an honest partner for democracy and equality. Having grown up with the fallout from Vietnam, having seen all the "interventions" between then and Bush jr.'s Forever Wars, I feel like we've seen this all before. I fully support the Iranian people in their struggle for equality and democracy.

I don't normally do posts like this, but I'm just so angry and depressed today because of the US starting a war with Iran. Yes, the leadership of Iran is horrific, and no democratic socialist would support them. But it's for the Iranian people to decide what happens to their country, and the US 🧵

Fact Check: Trump DID start this war.

The Pentagon confirmed there was no evidence Iran was going to attack the U.S.

No imminent threat. No exit plan or strategy.

Just more lies from this regime as they cost the lives of service members and innocent civilians.

This is obviously being done to put the US in a "state of war" where any campaigning and any votes against the GOP, as well as any disagreement on policy, are acts of sedition.

The morally bankrupt Trump administration has partnered with another morally bankrupt authoritarian to declare an unprovoked war on Iran, already killing scores of civilians.

We need an immediate vote from Congress on a War Powers Resolution. Then articles of impeachment.
