Happy new release to Sunset at Zero Point by Simon Stålenhag. I loved the Tales from the Loop books and was excited for this. I was surprised by how emotional it was on top of the cool scifi elements. 5 stars from me!

I just finished it today and I need a sequel yesterday!

The writing is so good! I’m now on page 150 and it has my full attention. I love the cover but it doesn’t do this gothic tale justice. Lots of sea, wind gusts, salt, fog, and eerie magic.

I’m surprised it’s not talked about more, it’s so good! I read a bunch more of it today. I saw it at the bookstore a few months ago and the description sounded good. I’m glad I grabbed it.

If you like gritty dark fantasy pick this one up. Granted I’m only 50 pages in but there has already been a gruesome death and the prose is so gothic and atmospheric. I can’t wait to read more about this deathspeaker over the snowy weekend that has already begun.

I loved A Memory Called Empire by AM and was perfectly weirded out by Spread Me by SG so I’m very excited for both of these 🤩

I’ve been into novellas this year for the first time ever, they feel like a book in treat form.

Anybody else succumb to the book outlet $6 fiction sale today? On the plus side, it’s only 6 books to get free shipping. On the other hand, my TBR pile is staring at me.
