So I finally tried Sonic Mania as my first 2D Sonic game, and regretfully as much as I really wanted to like it, I couldn't. Gameplay just didn't gel with me. But man the soundtrack and art direction were sure boppin'. Nonetheless glad I definitively gave it a shot.

Yeah, I go back and forth on it. I dunno. I can just see some scenarios where maybe Microsoft already issued marching orders from on high that Tango Gameworks just aint the direction they want to go so you have to fire them no matter what. So Spencer did what he was told and took the fall for it.

Even though Xbox made many questionable decisions under Phil Spencer's watch, I still find myself sympathizing with the guy? He seemed to be genuinely passionate about gaming and quite personable. I wonder if many of the blunders were circumstances out of his control. Who knows.

Closest I've heard to any serious competitor is TeamSpeak, but even then the exodus seems pretty noncommittal. There just isn't really a definitive replacement for Discord at the moment.

I agree with you to a point; I just don't think grandma and grandpa are the issue here. We're talking about 30-somethings who grew up with some basic tech literacy; some just think because it's not "official" or not original hardware that it's somehow not fundamentally the same experience I guess.

Yeah but that's not the case for gba emulation. To run pokemon LG/RF on your phone it's quite literally just download emulator, download rom, point emulator to rom, boom it's running.

I guess I'm on both sides of the fence with this. It's true that emulation does not excuse Nintendo's crappy behavior. But it's also true that a lot of people just have a weird aversion to emulation that usually isn't warranted. Past a certain point "just emulate it" is a legit suggestion lol.

Their games didn't even get PC ports. If they thought they weren't generating enough profits on PS5, surely they should have been able to break even by the time they arrived on PC, but now they just won't even try I guess? What a waste of a talented studio.

Yeah I more or less had the same response to it, but ended up dropping it somewhere half way into season 1 out of indifference. It has its cool moments but something is missing to hook me.

I've been given fentanyl before for a procedure done to me at the hospital. It really doesn't matter if it's just a one-time dosage. Didn't notice a single thing that felt off to me 24 hours later. Well, other than all the voices of dead people I was hearing, but you know, minor details.

While combing through the files it turns out Epstein was also the undead priest that mind controlled you into the lava on the way to molten core, and the one who made you jump off the boat just as it was sailing off from Booty Bay. He had an entire network of priests, in fact.

I believe the rule for copyright is it first goes to your nearest of kin, which even if there's no wife or kids, would then default to a sibling or parent. If there's literally no family at all, then it defaults to the state and they sit on it for 70 years until it becomes public domain.

Regardless of the results, as I said I cannot condone her actions. She has been a very naughty witch, and as such she deserves many spankings. Many spankings...

I had bought the 4K Blu-ray of this over a year ago and sat on it because I would groan at the 2.5 hour runtime and didn't want to set aside the time. That was a mistake. The time flew by! This was a really good sequel. Liked it even better than the first.

The art direction and gameplay just look so underwhelming to me, even putting aside the plagiarism allegations. And with ARC Raiders already scratching my extraction shooter itch as it is, it feels totally DOA to me. Wish Bungie would just go back to basics and make a great single player FPS.

I'm not even vegan but like to drink oat milk from time to time because it legit has a unique flavor that is quite good. But a lot of store bought oat milks look like they use lots of unnecessary additive ingredients so I question how healthy they actually are.

It did. You unlocked almost everything by collecting coins and that was it. It's pretty lame, which is probably why you don't remember it lol.

The Wii was arguably the most casual accessible console Nintendo ever made yet MK Wii still had some challenging unlocks. They can manage it.

I will grant you this though--Pauline definitely deserves more skins than just the two she's got right now. :p

Mmm I have to respectfully disagree. I mean sure, there's a large roster of unlocks, but now there's also a large open world to accommodate that... except currently it's empty of any meaningful rewards despite being littered with plenty of unique challenges that could otherwise be offering them.
