A weathered stone memorial in St Mary’s Cemetery, Kensal Green. The monument features a sculpture of an angel kneeling in prayer, her head bowed and wings folded gently behind her. She holds a small bouquet of flowers in her hands. The angel is framed by two carved stone pillars supporting a triangular pediment engraved with the name GANDOLFI. The municipal cemetery in Landau-in-der-Pfalz is also home to the historical Jewish Cemetery. The oldest stones are made from the local red sandstone which, unfortunately, isn't the most durable material for a gravestone. But there's a quiet beauty to them...

Not that they didn’t do a good job but I guess I was just rolling my eyes like sure sure 😂 but no, from what I can tell they weren’t joking !

Yes, I HAD heard from someone on my dads side that had also done our family tree previously that it was in Scotland which makes sense as my dads side hail from there. I’ve neglected that half of the family and figured I’d look into it and was suprised to find it was true !

Eeee!! I love a good rummage through a charity shop! I’d be a permanent resident if one was close to me! I love finding quirky collectibles - especially tea sets. I often find myself hiding boxes of them from my partner who politely reminds me I don’t even drink tea 🙃

Not sure if excited is the correct word, because it is so obvious she was innocent but alas now I have something to deep dive into for the foreseeable 🤣

Finding an accused - and executed witch in my ancestral line on my father’s side wasn’t on my genealogy bingo card but exciting find nonetheless.
