every time i say re:chain of memories is mid someone goes "you don't understand, the card system is so deep and interesting, you simply haven't wrapped your mind around it bro" and then i play the game and every fight is just this

I hope you've learned a lesson from all this - maybe next time you'll do the right thing and spend an hour fiddling with the content aware fill tool for a throwaway promotional image, instead of using a faster AI tool in the exact same software that gives functionally the same result.

130 hours in Hyrule Warriors DE... SO FAR...

Mario Kart World is great and all but improved performance on Switch 1 games has been the true selling point of Switch 2 for me so far. Hyrule Warriors is one of my favorite games of all time and getting to play it at 1080p 60 FPS in handheld mode makes it feel brand new.

Just got done running the Morino Tamagotchi - a relatively low-maintenance device with a cute insect theme, but arguably the least interesting Tamagotchi to look at due to its gimmick of zooming out the screen after 10 seconds of inactivity to show your bug at "actual size" (aka a tiny dot).

"The Unassuming 7/10" honestly might be my favorite type of game, nothing quite like taking a chance on a budget platformer and being pleasantly surprised by an experience that punches above its weight and doesn't outstay its welcome

Saw #Sonic3 last night and I'm still reeling from how good it was. I loved the first two movies but there was always an element of "it's not perfect but it's what we've got", this on the other hand was near perfect. The entire third act is probably the most hype thing I've ever seen in a theater.

#1: Astro Bot - A perfect celebration of 3D platforming and PlayStation as a whole, Astro Bot is the rare game where the only complaint you can make about it is that it ends. I hope its success and critical acclaim sends a message to the rest of the industry - make more games like this.

#2: Sonic x Shadow Generations: For the first time in what feels like forever, we finally have a Sonic game that fans and non-fans alike can agree on. Shadow Gens is peak Sonic and the ultimate iteration of the boost formula. Where can Sonic Team go from here? I'm so excited to find out.
