The biggest lie I tell myself is that I’ll use social media more/try to make friends in similar communities (because gods do I need more writer friends). Instead, I just disappear for months on end

Or, as is the case this time; Not go back and add additional chapters between pre-existing ones before I’ve got a first draft done

The downside to #writing will eternally be trying to force myself to actually forward the plot and not go rewrite the same section over and over to make it ‘perfect’.

That, or the lads were just feeling far too kind to point out anything wrong 😅😅

Nothing as affirming as asking my friends for brutally honest opinions on my writing and getting nothing but hype in return! Clearly I’m doing something right.

I go through phases where I either do better handwriting or digitally so I just have an amalgamation of notebooks full of chaos. But what works works! What sort of things are you writing? 👀

The easiest part of writing is coming up with ideas. The hard part is actually writing them down instead of getting into a staring match with an empty word document

I'm a little jealous of my characters.

If they have a sharp comeback, I can add it in weeks after the conversation was written and it's like no time has passed for them.

High fantasy with a fixation on changelings and an overarching theme of dealing with revenge as a manifestation of grief. I don’t really have a working title or set summary for it just yet but I’m having a lot of fun with it!!
