Because when it takes a year to replace one, and let’s say you’re firing two interceptors for every single cheap Iranian drone βœ…, that’s a really stupid idea.

It’s also really flipping crass asking Ukraine to fix your drone mess.

AI still needs some level of intelligence to operate. Yes?

Is AI filling in the blanks by hallucinating?

Is the US firing its expensive, hard to replace weapons blind?

Yet, Iran is bleeding the US dry of interceptor missles and fancy, expensive drones with their cheap, easy, and quick to build drones.

Does the AI system still work when the US military can’t β€œsee” anything for 2500 km because the cheap drones knocked out US radar on the ground?

Yes, I call it New War because I have a day job and don’t need to spend my day fighting foreign bots.

Hey @voiceoffranky.bsky.social, it’s early days but I’m wondering if you plan on polling re: Canadians’ views of the New War, Canadian participation, and Canadians’ views on the federal government’s position and statements thus far.

If they do, will the US regime say thank you?

If the government gets to decide if you have them, they're not human rights.

This war isn’t an emergency that requires us to give the president more latitude. It’s a monstrosity that requires that judges, lawmakers and above all citizens work to preserve the integrity of elections and the republic.

CDC warns travelers of polio before trips to Spain, UK and more The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention issued a Level 2 advisory as poliovirus appears in parts of Africa, Europe and the Middle East.

β€œThe CDC issued a level 2 travel advisory on March 3, warning that poliovirus has been detected in multiple destinations within the past 12 months – including parts of Africa, the Middle East and Europe… In rare cases, the disease can cause permanent paralysis or death” @jackiantonovich.bsky.social

Ugh, I am so unsettled and angry about this but I need to get to work before I spend my day angry typing.

All I’ll add is that I do see the general public very confused on Canada’s position and very much against Canada’s involvement on any level.

no one would do that” world view.

Yes, yes they would. And leaders really need to start wrapping their brains around this. The more they intellectualize, the more they will rationalize the insane.

The only two leaders I see meeting the moment are from Spain and Brazil.

05.03.2026 14:52 β€” πŸ‘ 0    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

At least then we all knew no one was insane enough to push the button. They understood MAD. We expected leaders to act rationally because of that.

Now? One nuclear party is led by people in a death cult.

Yet leaders are still approaching this from the old β€œeveryone is rational, …

This IS very much seen as a religious war by the Secretary of Defence and other people in key positions in the US regime. And no one seems to understand this. The rules have changed.

This is not the Cold War that most of today’s leaders were raised under.

As are most European leaders.

I just watched an interview with Janice Stein. She’s very knowledgeable but she’s missing the mark on questions posed by Canadians.

Ex - Is this a religious war? She answered this by talking about Iran. Absolutely the wrong answer.

as a consequence of the illegal beginning.

And yes, I include the use of Article 5 in that.

I’m watching the news right now and I just saw Starmer speak. He really isn’t understanding that certain parties are purposefully trying to pull Europe in to the conflict. He’s flailing and failing.

A war that is illegal both domestically in the US (no Congressional approval) and at international law doesn’t just become legal if one of our non-US NATO allies is attacked by Iran.

The very starting point is an illegal act. Period. That taints every single act and decision that flows …

NHS official pushed to add patient data to Palantir platform whilst also advising company

A lobbyist who worked directly for Peter Mandelson, on the Palantir board, and on the board of *four* NHS trusts.

Lobbying the NHS to hand over even more patient data to Palantir.

This absolutely stinks. Get Palantir out of the NHS. Sign my petition:

Focus on trade agreements all you want but you still need other subject matter experts to answer questions and guide you on what should be very straight forward issues and simple facts, such as those you stated.

05.03.2026 06:06 β€” πŸ‘ 1    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

This is why I scratched my head on Saturday. There absolutely should be someone at PMO or on the file that would have given him the basic run down on international law and Canada’s past policy statements so he could at least have been consistent.

05.03.2026 06:06 β€” πŸ‘ 2    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Agree. We’re stating to see more of this and, unfortunately, a lot of people aren’t picking up on it.

I don’t know if he just isn’t listening to advisors or PMO isn’t using certain subject matter experts anymore. And don’t get me started on the move away from relying on the PS as the experts.

It was such a pleasure to interview attorney Bryan Stevenson about the photography of Gordon Parks as he curates a new showing in London.

His vivid and intimate colour images from 1956, showing the daily disgrace of the segregated South, remain extremely pertinent to this day:
