Framed works in a variety of colors and of a variety of subjects in a white-walled gallery. My works, second from right, are dark, roughly square lithographic images of typographic spacing material, highlighting the differences created through time, wear, and manufacture on multiple examples of these mass-produced 'silences.'

Two lithographs from my series "Admission of Structure" (the black squares framed on the right) are up now alongside 40 other Minnesota printmakers in 'The Fine Print' at White Bear Center for the Arts. Show runs through March 27.

I still have my teenaged bookmark in a split-spined copy of "Skinny Legs and All," page 365, where Tom Robbins sets the stakes for a life in art: "The mission of the artist in an overtechnologized, overmasculinized society [is] to call the old magic back to life.” Thankful for those stakes. RIP
