Omen deviate from other blighted entities found within the Deep Forest, as they do not seem to interact with any organisms, blighted or not. Instead, Omens appear whenever a high concentration of Blue Blight is around the region, followed by immediate loss of contact with the expeditioners.

Depth Shrikes have a symbiotic relationship with Sunken Snares. Large feelers on the head are light-sensitive, alerting the shrike of activated Sunken Snares and its location through using the many eyes. Depth Shrikes drag prey into the waters and impale them on the flooring's spires.
