This is Beau. He is a textbook example of a golden retriever. They really will try to be friends with anyone. 13/10 for both (IG: beaugoesoutside)

Gerald Brockhurst in the 1930s, made a series of prints in which the faces of his sitters were highly finished but the hair or their head coverings were left as outlines. This drawing shares that same aesthetic.

The UK public sector serves millions of meals daily in schools, hospitals&prisons. It should be one of our most powerful tools for food system transformation. So why are the barriers to getting good food onto public plates pretty much unchanged over 20yrs? An image encouraging people to listen to episode of our podcast - Reclining Pair, which is all very silly, but seems good for mental health.

Tough one to get out this month, due to illness and injury, so we hope you enjoy it.

If you believe that collapse is necessary for things to really change, that feels just as dangerous as accepting that change isn't possible. It's the same determinism. The conditions will never be ideal and welcome you, and while you wait, those who profit from the status quo are getting on with it.

The Curragh.' (1914) This painting by Irish artist Paul Henry is full of drama, accentuated by the use of a high horizon and tall waves as if to remind us of the danger facing the crew of this small boat. It brings home the harsh life of the islanders on Achill off County Mayo.

✊️ indeed Jay.

You'll be great parents, both of you. Your son will be loved & cherished-that's all that matters, eh?

There's an army of friends of all different types, from those who know you well to those that've never met you, & oddballs like me who are neither. We're all cheering you on 😘

It was Tamar Valley AONB (now National Landscape) & www.tamargrowlocal.org , funded by Heritage Lottery. I'll see if I can find the map. Lots of lost varieties in banks along lanes, accessible from a car

Some very rare daffodils in the banks between there and Hole's Hole. Are you familiar with the Heralds of Spring project where over 100 lost heritage varieties were rediscovered in the valley? There are some nice videos on YouTube youtu.be/U8vzfkVa2mo?...
