Overall, not bad for a Quakes B team that had to deal with STL’s physical play. Edwards’ poor play was the difference. Quakes should start looking for Daniel’s replacement this offseason. The guy is so fragile and can’t stay healthy, might as well call him Mr. Glass. #SJvSTL

Quakes beat LAG!! Good defensive performance from SJ. They bent but did not break. I was worried with the speed that LAG had upfront but the back line held it together. Good job from Benji in limiting Paintsil all game long.

What a treat with this mid-week Cali Classico. A number of storylines that make the result of this match very unpredictable. Arena once again doing his best to rotate the starting XI. Hoping Pellegrino does not suck today.

I woulda taken a point at the start of the Quakes match against Revs given the lineup but with Pellegrino’s massive miss, I feel like Quakes should have won. Is Benji K. so bad that he can’t start over Pellegrino?

Arena with the patchwork lineup against the Revs due to schedule congestion. Although, Quakes are not playing bad. Judd is giving us a solid #9 performance so far. Pellegrino has to go before next season. He keeps missing great chances.

What a solid win today from Quakes at Rapids. Jones is such a good pick up. Hopefully it’s nothing serious with Buck needing to come off due to injury.

Arena has gotten decent results with the 3-5-2 but not sure this roster was built for it. SJ has FBs collecting dust on the bench and there’s no natural wingback in the roster. The midfield is congested and chaotic. I’d like Arena to try a 3-4-3 which would thin the midfield and push up Espinoza.

This is the potential 3rd goal on Rodrigues in tonight’s #SJKC match. Yes, he had an assist but Arena needs to keep him back, especially with 3 defenders in the formation if he’s really gonna stick with the 3-5-2.

Eventful 1st half in #SJvKC match with 5 goals. Quakes defense regressed to their 2024 form. Luckily Quakes have the offensive firepower to respond. I’m not sure we’re getting the best of Espinoza in the 3-5-2 formation. You can also see why Kaye has not been a starter this season.

What did SJ give up for Jones? I’m guessing he’s going to play on the left side since Espinoza is a lock on the right.

I think a middle-of-the-pack rating is fair SJE even though they started with a 4-0 win. We don’t know how good they really are yet.
