This was an insta-buy book bundle for me. Autonomous and The City in the Middle of the Night are favs of mine. Best of all they didnβt require me to jump through any de-DRMing hoops. I just downloaded a bunch of epubs to my reader app.

the SNES is interesting in that it's (IIRC) a port of the Macintosh version, which is an all new level set instead of the original episodes in the DOS version and the extra weapons that added. Plus the censorship that Nintendo required on top of that. I think the late great Becky Heineman did it?

I'm also a fan of the Little Nemo game even if it's a bit odd. That Wolf 3D port is a real weird one too if you haven't seen it before

oh wow, yeah, that's a lucky one to find. Somehow my dad found it during the 90s and I assume there's no way I could casually come across that one anytime this century.

Same deal with NPR. The funding cut sucks but I still listen to my local Detroit NPR station all the time for their music shows

Explore PBS Passport | PBS
Binge the latest episodes of Poldark, America’s Test Kitchen and Country Music by Ken Burns and favorite series like Frontline and Antiques Roadshow.
Folks, the government didn't kill PBS. It's still here even after funding has been cut. You can donate $5 or more and get access to a ton of their stuff on streaming too, including lots of local shows. It's a good deal.

Hey all! My current contract ended unexpectedly, and I'm looking for game design work with some urgency.
I'm a multidisciplinary technical artist, game designer, and programmer. I turn concepts and aesthetic vision into shaders and systems.
Boosts welcome. Leads on projects even more so!

THE TERMINATOR COLLECTION
Alongside the games that were directly based on the movies, Bethesda Softworks released a quintet of shooters that far surpassed the iffy...
The Bethesda FPS has been unavailable for decades now so I feel very comfortable saying you can just get it updated to run on modern versions of Windows on The Collection Chamber

US-Israel war on Iran
Death toll from Iran school bombing reportedly rises to almost 150
Strike on girlsβ elementary school in south of Iran has killed 148 people and injured 95 others, according to Iran state media
Intoletable. How anyone's response to this can be anything other than abject rage and disgust is beyond me.

The Explorateur: Issue #17
Monthly design jams, critique, theory, and inspiration for tabletop rpg designers by rpg designers. Vetted. Looted. Curated.
A short and very busy month on the road means this month's Explorateur is light. I mean, it's still a mace to face with design links, but it's not the usual two-hander.
I'm doing this new thing with the intro where I share three design/creative/craft ideas.

i think ive paid gabe newell more from the proceeds of my games than i've paid the government, but gabe doesn't pave my roads or fund my schools or feed the kids in my community
probably a few overdue conversations to be had about maybe paying less gabes before we pay less taxes or something
