Accelerate Future HEI

Because measuring impact is important, but communicating it clearly is what makes transformation visible.

The workshop concluded with short 3-minute pitches from each HEI, where participants presented their draft infographics and received peer feedback on:

✔ Quality of information
✔ Visual presentation
✔ Clarity of storytelling

The session invited the testing HEIs to work with their data and translate metrics into visual narratives.

Using a shared template structured around four core areas, Entrepreneurial Activities, Ecosystem, Mindset and Organisational Capacity, partners began shaping infographics.

During our 7th Transnational Partner Meeting in St. Pölten, Austria partners took part in anInfographics Workshop, focused on one key challenge:

How do we visually communicate the impact of our institutional transformation Acceleration Projects?

Together, these phases ensure that change is implemented, evaluated, and sustained over time.

With this groundwork in place, Phase 2 moves into implementation and sustainability:
- Monitoring progress and measuring impact
- Building capacity through training and mentoring
- Sharing knowledge across our partnership
- Strengthening communication and stakeholder engagement

In Phase 1 of our Acceleration Services, we worked closely with partner universities to:
- Understand their current state through asset mapping and surveys
- Map their future ambitions via focus groups and strategic vision statements
- Translate vision into action by developing concrete action plans

Institutional transformation doesn’t happen overnight.

It follows a structured pathway.

As part of the programme, Accelerate Future HEI was presented to the audience by Dr. Diana Andone, highlighting how the project supports UPT’s transformation towards a more entrepreneurial and innovative university.

Discussions focused on DigComp 3.0, digital resilience, and emerging technologies such as AI, robotics and blockchain, with a strong emphasis on international exchange and interactive participation.

Organised in collaboration with the E³UDRES² European University Alliance, and supported by Accelerate Future HEI, LECTURE and IEEE Education Romania, the event featured 18 international speakers from across Europe, including Romania, Ukraine, Germany, Spain and Italy.

The Politehnica University Timișoara (UPT) recently hosted the 10th International Digital Skills Workshop 2025: Developing Digital Skills for Resilience, bringing together over 800 participants in a hybrid format.

We invite authors to submit short papers.

Building on this shared understanding, the focus then shifts to developing roadmaps that bridge the gap between the current state and the future universities want to achieve, turning ambition into structured, actionable transformation.

She explains how the project started by working closely with partner universities to understand their vision and goals, followed by a series of activities designed to assess where institutions are today.

In this video, Dr. Sarah Jaber gives an overview of the Accelerate Future HEI project and its core ambition: supporting universities in becoming more entrepreneurial and innovative.

The meeting concluded with a shared reflection on key takeaways and next steps, as partners aligned on priorities for the months ahead.

The programme included a tour of USTP’s labs, giving partners insight into the university’s innovation infrastructure, followed by a presentation of the Creative Pre-Incubator Programme by Mariella Pfannenstill, highlighting how entrepreneurial ideas are supported in practice.

Yesterday marked the final day of our Accelerate Future HEI in-person meeting in Austria, focused on learning, inspiration and next steps.

We’re already in month 37 of our 48 together, and our shared focus is on turning progress into lasting impact.
