I can't (yes I can) believe I am sending out another email to archaeologists asking them to do a few more Skype a Scientist sessions for LEGO league. But here we are. Putting our scientific network to the test. Really learning the limits here this semester, whew.

If you're nervous about math! Hey me too! Math can be ugly, hard, petty, and downright mean. Even if you come to my lecture and understand only 5% BUT you are less scared of math modeling, than I will have succeeded! That is my goal for this workshop

I see this workshop catered towards people who are starting out their ecological research as undergrads or beginning graduate students. I expect some basic knowledge of calc and basic R skills and ggplot!

What I'm hoping to push in my workshop is that visualization (especially through animation) is not for fluff- it really helps drive understandings. Dynamical models are dynamic after all! Seeing things in motion helps!
