Bestars is charming.
I find myself taken by it. The characters are all likeable and everyone has a root reason they act the way they do, whether its revealed at the start or not.
When someone does something very predictably in character, I find myself smiling along like βof course you would.β

Sanda, her current work, tackles ageism and beauty standards as well as the infantilisation of teenagers. (ITS REALLY GOOD)

Itagakiβs work is always brimming with themes.
Itβs the seasoning of the series.
Each world she builds is a playground to think about β¨societyβ¨ with Beastars thereβs a lot of really interesting thoughts around sexism and the dangers of physical violence framed as devouring.
