Ah, a name I recognise from several jobs ago.
I'd like to ask "how do we ensure that using robots in the sea does not harm wildlife or inadvertently alter their natural behaviour? Especially for electrical signals and sonar, etc."

Got questions about #robots for ocean observation? π€
Later this season, I'll be chatting to Dr. Simona Aracri from the National Research Council of Italy about innovative robot designs for oceanography and environmental monitoring.
Send me your questions for Simona in the comments below!

This isnβt correct. The UKβs youth unemployment rate is higher than the EU average, but some European countries have higher rates. #SpringStatement

Itβs clear to me that the argument is actually about what you think the point of doing research is. If itβs papers, AI will be faster. But I donβt think itβs papers I think itβs the process and I want to do that process

If you are part of a university or UK facing research organisation, publisher, funder, learned society and they are still posting on X - they're in a rather uncomfortable minority now. Perhaps point them to the eXit.

I have a telegraph angel.
It asks me why it should look after me when I should be looking after myself.
π¨ It looks like the UK government is gearing up to upend copyright law in favour of AI companies, legalising the theft of their work.
This is despite creatives' huge protests, and despite previous proposals being roundly rejected by the public.
Please spread the word.

Can't stop laughing at a story my friend told me yesterday about going to meet a work contact at the gates of Trinity. He went up to another waiting man and said "Are you Michael?" "Yes" "Will we go for a coffee?" "Sure." Over a coffee he realises it's not the Michael he's meant to be meeting.
