Donald Trump promised to protect American farmers with tariffs but instead of protection, it resulted in higher fertilizer costs and lower grain prices, severely impacting farm finances.

To be fair, we did promise security guarantees to Ukraine. We have no such ironclad security guarantee to any Middle Eastern country, excluding Turkey, if they.

TRUMP ON RUSSIA AND UKRAINE: "There is this tremendous hatred between Putin and Zelenskyy. I've seen a lot of hatred in my life, but I think this is about top scale."
Putin hates us because we refuse to die quietly. Zelenskyy hates Putin for trying to murder us all and erase our state.
The big grift

After 30+ years, thousands of lives and trillions of wasted dollars, most Americans know this much.
Stay the hell out of the Middle East.
Watching the most delusional and incompetent administration in our lifetimes try to convince us otherwise, would be comical if it wasn’t dangerous.
Now imagine if there was a way to hit two birds with one stone… perhaps by… sending Ukraine the military aid they need to win the war instead of appeasement which leads to Russia regrouping every time Ukraine makes a significant advance?
03.03.2026 15:10 — 👍 0 🔁 0 💬 0 📌 0Newspapers that told their readers austerity, Brexit, Johnson & Truss would be brilliant are attacking the British Prime Minister for not unquestioningly following a lunatic President into an illegal attack. And on social media, he gets attacked from the other 'side' for doing the precise opposite!

Hold on… is Chris Hayes mindlessly echoing the administration’s talking point here?
I believe Senator Gallego is telling the truth.
This is unsurprising. Ever since Trump retook the presidency last year he has proposed appeasement talks every few months. The talks eat away at Ukraine’s progress, allow Russia to regroup, and then the human safari continues. No reasonable person would expect anything good from it. #SlavaUkraine

You couldn’t make this up.
And if you did, everyone would say it’s too much.
That lack of solid evidence makes predicting what will happen after this revolution, assuming it succeeds, extremely difficult.
Only time will tell.
There is relatively little available information about Iran compared to OECD countries. Getting reliable polling data is immensely difficult.
We know the Ayatollah was a dictator.
We have little solid evidence on exactly what Iranians want compared to OECD countries or even Russia.
Maybe Iran is different. Maybe being Shia which makes it relatively immune from Saudi influence will make a difference. Hard to know.
Even once a democracy is established, it must last, which is difficult as we see in Tunisia which suffers from backsliding.
Who knows…
I remember the war in Libya which was meant to bring democracy, and the War in Gaza which was supposedly going to “Kill Hamas” now we have a war to topple the Iranian regime.
So far neither of those wars have succeeded.
I want to see a stable Middle East. It will not come from American actions.
Russia cannot survive another 10 months of Ukraine destroying their military bases and oil infrastructure. There will be nothing left at that point.
For this reason, I will be surprised if the war continues for another year.
Putin is trapped.
The only possible path at this point is a maximum victory for Ukraine and a demilitarization of Russia. If Iranians successfully topple their government, Russia loses another major ally. Russia’s military weakens.

As Ukraine continues to destroy Russia’s energy and military capability, the ability of Russia to supply their troops at the front line diminishes. As Russia has fewer drones, we will get to a point where they won’t have supplies to continue their disgusting human safari.
Then Ukraine wins.
If you study political science or history, there will be no discussion of “red lines” because the very idea is moronic.
But there will be quite a lot of discussion about tipping points, which is how regimes fall.
I think Russia is close to a tipping point.
💥“No president in the modern era has ordered more military strikes against as many different countries as Trump. He's attacked 7 nations, 3 of which — Iran, Nigeria & Venezuela — had never been targeted by US strikes. He authorized more individual air strikes in 2025 than Biden did in 4 years.”💥

Foreign militaries never “deliver” democracy.
Democracies emerge when domestic legitimacy + organized civil power + a credible transition plan converge.
I want nothing more than Iran to be free.
I hope they are allotted the dignity of self- determination.
Hands off Iran.

🇺🇦 Zelensky: We have survived this winter, the most difficult in all the years of the war. The Russians wanted to turn this winter into the destruction of Ukraine and Ukrainians. But Ukraine did not break. We have preserved our energy system.

Since the beginning of Russia’s 2022 invasion of Ukraine, one in every seven schools has been destroyed or damaged.
Russia’s war crimes are documented fact and geopolitics is not a team sport. One country’s crimes do not cancel out another’s. (3)

1/ Khamenei was a brutal far right tyrant — whom America installed btw. The world is better off without such a dictator.
That is true.
But so is the following:
