I’ve been slow on painting my #battletech recently, had a rough week but things always turn around. The pink looks really good as the paintscheme is based off of Mira’s Marauders from #Starcraft 2.

Maybe it’s a bad idea to use an Atlas as the test model for my pirate force for #battletech but I’ve already started so lets see how it turns out!

Helldivers 2 reducing the file size from 150 to 28GB is proof that most game studios today don’t care about optimization.

Got my flash drives all set for this springs 3d print a thon! This is going to be an absolutely insane amount of models but I know I can get them all done this year!

More progress on the Iron inquisition Arbites proxies, I decided to go for the massive shoulder pad aesthetic inspired by Target Games Warzone range. I'm split on having slopped or flat shoulders, the silhouette looks pretty brutal with the flat so I'm leaning towards that.

I’ve always struggled with getting the source of my lighting down when I’m painting but the hexagonal bases on the battletech minis have really helped me.

Todays #wip shot for the Iron Inquisition. I have the clothes blocked out and the robot feet ready to go. The mechanical parts are hard to work with because you end up thinking you need to do more but doing so would make it look too organic.

Solid progress on blender today, there's going to be a lot of admech inspired nonsense in the way of random packs and tubes but I'm going to avoid adding anything too fiddly. Since they're proxies for arbites I'm avoiding robes and going for a zouave inspired uniform.

It only took me 18 years but I finally got my mount in classic World of Warcraft! I did not have the patience back in the day and would always make a new character once I hit the 20's. It wasn't until cataclysm that I reached max level on one character.

Sketches for my Iron Inquisition project, they’re going to function as Arbites proxies for combat patrol and I took hints from welding gear and Zouaves. The chest piece is the least inspired since breastplates can only be so distinct.

Finished two mechs and compared them to my original rasalhague dominion paint job. It’s not exactly the same but considering I painted them years ago and didn’t write anything down I think it’s good!

Some more progress on my battle tech, sponged on ash grey to get the chipping effect and applied a wash of agrax earthshade. Once they’re dry all I need to do is touch up the panels and lights, I might add some small details to make them a bit more personable.

My cat’s a fan of my mind flayer blanket, I know who she’d romance if she could play Baldur’s Gate!

The Imperial Agents line is all characters and so they are ungodly expensive. My setting is about mass produced cyborgs gaining sentience and so getting that visual design down will be a lot easier when the stakes are "make warhammer proxies". Wish me luck as I'm giving myself one year to finish!

So, I figured out why I'm struggling to work on the character for my scifi horror game; I'm not confident enough in my skillset with blender. My plan is to make more proxy models like I did with the catfolk last year, but this time I am going to make an admech Imperial agents army!

Slow progress on the #battletech project today. Colored in all the windows with demon yellow and goblin green, all the weapons were rubber black by icm and I added vallejo thick mud to the bases before adding uniform grey.

Zeo Genesis has some open ended solo play rules so I’ll have to see how well those work with Maelstroms Edge.

I didn’t know there was solo rules for Maelstroms edge, it’s a great game and I wish more people knew about it.

After years of putting it off I finally finished repainting my genestealer cult army for #warhammer40k I’ve played the army since seventh edition but had to sell off nearly the entire collection when times got tough a few years ago and I’m so happy to finish this!

Thank you, it stinks when you have to do serious planning for any game that goes over 2 hours 😅 I still remember my 4k point game in 8th where I’d replace every lost squad with an exact copy using different models, it was way too long of a match.

20 neophytes ready for the Day of Ascension! I used to have so many more but had to sell a bunch a few years ago, combat patrol is the right size for me anymore as I don’t have the time for bigger games.
