How lovely. All the best to your parents.

Aw, I hope your aunt and uncle had a wonderful time.

My husband’s brother and his wife are there. They go every winter for three months although my s-I-l really doesn’t like it at all. My other s-i-l’s sister has lived there for twenty years. I do not see the appeal. I think they become blind to what goes on outside the gated areas.

He was a little bit cheeky. Obviously I barely noticed the good looking bit being happily married and all 😜

No definitely not!! Their house is teeny.

My sister-in-law, previous (and probably reluctant) owner of aforementioned humungous TV is in Dubai. She said it’s very boring as they can’t leave the hotel and airports are all closed so she can’t get home to Switzerland. I would not call being in a war zone boring.

01.03.2026 13:47 β€” πŸ‘ 3    πŸ” 0    πŸ’¬ 1    πŸ“Œ 0

Very. You can practically hear their blaring TV from my back garden πŸ˜‚

Literally 500 yards down the road. Which is a good thing most of the time.

As I waked down the lane to my parents house I was nearly knocked over by a cyclist on the pavement. Was about to give him an earful but he stopped and smiled at me and was very good looking so I let him off. I’m sure he was thinking the same thing about me with my mop, bucket and bottle of Cif.

Aw, they look like lovely people.

I’ll let you know if I find it.
I think my son might take it. His girlfriend will be thrilled 🀣

Thank you. I was thinking the same thing. It would really add to the period charm. πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

I can’t find any branding. It’s probably on the remote which is goodness knows where. πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ

Off to my parents house with my mop and bucket. My husband said I shouldn’t drive there as short trips are bad for my ancient Volvo so I hope no one sees me walking along.

That’s what we said 🀣 flashier functions I think. I can’t even work the Sky remote so haven’t plugged it in. Need to re home it

Sadly that someone is not us. Our nice sized TV is about twenty years old.

I know 😩. Honestly, it’s ridiculous.. My house was built in 1760 so you can imagine monster TV looks a little out of place. I’ll might try to sell it on Marketplace.

We have been given a 65 inch tv. We did not want said TV but husband’s brother, who lives in Switzerland, needed it removing from his London flat to make way for flashier TV. The thing is monstrously big and looks ridiculous wherever we put it. Ugh first world problems.

You should have asked! Hope your son enjoyed it, nice thing to do together even if you are beardless.

My friend went to visit her 90 yr old dad who gave her three cardboard boxes of keepsakes to take home. She just opened the first one to find his collection of β€œNaked Yoga” magazines. Her dad has never practiced yoga in his life. 😳
