I went into some stalls today at a shopping centre with 6 individual urinals. All not in use. I choose the farthest one on the end near the wall. Of course some dude comes in and uses the one right next to me when there were others to choose from. Too many people have no concept of personal space.

It's just limbo. If indeed it turns out to be Normal Pressure Hydrocephalus like his GP suspects, there are options and some risky surgery that may or may not work. But at the moment he is just a bedridden body that gets spoon fed and can't talk waiting for a diagnosis. It's heartbreaking.

We just want to know what to do. Are we up to end of life care now or what? It's the not knowing that is so emotionally exhausting.

Nurses assure us that he isn't in imminent danger of passing. But he's not really here anyway.

Still waiting for MRI results to be seen by a neurologist and get some updates. Good old country/regional hospitals and weekends just don't mix. We've asked yet again for a doctor to call us. We were meant to get a call last monday morning. Still waiting.

Really rough day today. Drove 2 hours to see dad in hospital. I knew he wouldn't be any better, but I at least thought he'd be a little awake. Couldnt wake him at all for more than 2 seconds before his eyes closed again. No recognition at all. No half smiles or anything.

There are some good ones out there with good hearts. Maybe i've just been extremely lucky so far too, so I am counting my blessings. These people have to travel pretty far to get to my small little town, so they must have a love for the work. Maybe that's why i've been lucky.

That sucks. I hope you find a good one soon. My first one i saw for 3 sessions was pretty good too. He was fairly green, and I could tell that I was a bigger mess than he could handle, but we got along fine. He even brought me a bunch of empty egg cartons because I mentioned i had backyard chickens.

I will try. The hard part is done now.

Now I have to psyche myself up for the EMDR sessions ahead. They can get quite hectic emotionally and i'm not one who likes losing control of my emotions like that. But i can do this. I'll get through it one way or another.

Yeah it's something good happening while there's not a lot of good happening in my life & in the wider world

This guy even gave me his phone number to call any time and he'd get back to me. I don't think i'll ever call him, but it is nice to know there's someone neutral out there if i ever need it
