Did you know- a common misconception about Bactrian camels is that they store water in their humps. This isn’t true, their humps actually store fat which provides them with energy when food is scarce! Camels can however use their adaptations to conserve water in other ways. ☀️🐫

It's Tooth Time, presented by Delta Dental! 🦷 These are Westley, the Linne's two-toed sloth's teeth!

#Didyouknow - two-toed sloths have 4 canine-like premolars that are large and resemble fangs. Sloth teeth also lack enamel and grow continuously.

Cathartes, the turkey vulture, is striking a pose! A horaltic pose that is.

This stance, known as the "horaltic pose", helps vultures thermoregulate and dry off any damp feathers after cool evenings by soaking in the sun's UV rays.

Our armadillo quadruplets have been named after different types of shells in honor of their dad, Sheldon, who passed away recently. Sheldon was one of the oldest nine-banded armadillos in human care at almost 19 years old.
