Acceptance is a necessary step, so being in communities that are openly hostile to even the idea of this paraphilia, it will only do harm. It was also suggested that there is a lot of projection going on. No surprise.

After consulting with a psychologist specialised in paraphilia, childhood trauma, and related conditions, there was a very strong emphasis on NOT engaging with or being around "anti-zoophile" spaces. It could very likely strengthen repression and dissociation, and WILL cause harm. Zoophile or not.

After thinking on this, I think the use of "consent" as a necessary and justifying mechanic adds constraints to the thinking process. We need more words for this.

Reader, do you even know if battery cages are legal in your state? Do you know if forced fertilisation is used for livestock in your state? Do you know if puppy mills are being shut down? Do you know if dog fighting is happening in your area? Do you know if Animal Neglect is punished?

The laelaps/heika anti-zoo crusade is such a waste of time and energy. You guys could be putting pressure on your state to increase the rights and protections of livestock. Chickens don't deserve to be raped for our food, forced to live in battery cages, or be mutilated so they can't self harm.

1. You started your statement by openly declaring your ignorance of the subject matter
2. You use this to justify your assumptions
3. You are commenting on a post from an artist who regularly pushes these boundaries, intentionally
4. You make a bad-faith assessment, casting suspicion

I think the main problem is, you're taking it out of context, and applying an unnecessary moral framework and value judgement. Care less about "takes" and you'll be happier.

Yeah, you said it. It doesn't matter whether or not heika is a zoophile. I would not be surprised if they're asking people these things themselves. They're a terminally online furry with a deficit of life experience. Nobody who argues against zoophilia can manage a non-emotional response.

While this view of sexuality does place agency into the hands of the animal partner, it's important that it's not for the gratification of someone who /wants/ to be used as the primary motivation for sexual contact.

It's hard to take zoophiles seriously when they claim to be pro-rights, but their whole profile is retweets of dog pussy. Surely you're doing things /other/ than sexualising animals, right? You know there's an abuse epidemic in porn, RIGHT?

Really, really be beware of political spaces on the internet. Someone is not an ally just because they identify as progressives, anti-fascists or left-wing, some are opportunists who uses "nazi" as a tool to justify dehumanization against whoever they have reservations about. I talk as experience.
