Til the end eh

Iβm very worried about our left side

Loathe him on any other topic but Charlie Methven actually speaks sense on womenβs game.
The progress of the WSL has gone backwards, and it seems like internationals are only time people show up. Itβs heavily subsidised and loses money because people just donβt turn up/tune in to watch it.
Have to admit Thiaw is very very good. Been ran into the ground already mind
04.02.2026 20:45 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I really hope the official @safc.com accounts later tonight reconfirm that the derby is on 22nd march due to the mags getting knocked out of the cup. Just right amount of pettiness #safc
04.02.2026 20:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Itβs great but like others say miles from anywhere, and transport links are non existent. Itβs taken almost 30 years since Stadium of Light opened for the area around it to be developed (and is now really exciting). I hope for them they move quicker than we did.
27.01.2026 21:09 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0All bots and the worst of society. My outlook on the world has improved so much not being on there. This still needs a bit more people and some of that original twitter βedginessβ wouldnβt go amiss, but no complaints
24.01.2026 19:42 β π 3 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Iβm convinced they know theyβre off the hook or able to delay indefinitely, Guardiola extended his contract after it delayed and I think he knows. Funny business has followed him one way or another wherever heβs been

People seem to associate Sunderland with Brexit as it was the first constituency to declare result as out, but it wasnβt as emphatic as a lot of other places.
Fans care about seeing players work hard who genuinely care about playing for Sunderland and the impact on the city, which weβve got today.
We wonβt put much effort in either, we changed team massively for carabao cup and went out to Huddersfield, nobody was arsed. Owners focused on league only this season, survival is all that matters. Hope itβs on at a decent time, being cup weβll get a good allocation and keen to get to new ground.

This was the first time Sunderland have ever come from 2+ goals down to win a Premier League game, with this the 188th time they have trailed by 2+ goals in a game in the competition (D10 L177). This time feels different.

Thing is, as much as the primary residence rule heβs quoting is inaccurate, how much does it actually get enforced/challenged by HMRC? It seems like a hard one to prove

I work in the tech industry as a recruitment manager. At my last place their grad intake reduced from 20 heads in 2024 to 5 in 2025.
We have a generation of kids pushed down the stem route that are coming out of school/uni with no career path in front of them.
Found it

I came onto here last year but went back on Twitter for transfer stuff. Habits set in and was on it loads again, and I can tell how much it was affecting me. Itβs genuinely poison.
I really hope this does stick around!

11.04.2025 14:40 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0As someone involved in hiring grads, the system for it is broken. I appreciate theyβre subsidising UK students but I can tell you from personal experience weβre not getting the βtop talentβ they envisaged when the scheme expanded. Weβre getting people who are being sold a lie
08.04.2025 19:41 β π 4 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Iβd be minded to agree with that. I think people are hoping/expecting the US pulls back from their Liz Truss moment but they will have another. Got a long 3 1/2 years left
07.04.2025 10:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0Agree. Itβs a small window of opportunity but they have to use the βfreedomβ that the Brexit disaster has offered. English still the language of business, we have brilliant services economy and London still hasnβt been overtaken by Paris or Frankfurt in FS. Think weβre too risk averse however.

I donβt think itβs adversarial to ask difficult questions about the people who own the club. Thatβs the job of a journalist. Thing is, people like George will agree with that but heβs too compromised now to do it.

23.03.2025 17:54 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0When kashoggi was murdered MBS and the Saudi state were pariahs on international stage. MBS personally pressured Boris Johnson to get premier league to push through the sale. Complying meant more Saudi investment and trade with UK. Come on, take the blinkers off here. Itβs all about public opinion
23.03.2025 15:54 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 4 π 0FIFA awarding the 2034 World Cup to Saudi I take it is not on your radar? Itβs targeted at diverting attention from their wrongdoing and clearly it works. Newcastle arenβt the first club to be used for this but theyβre the biggest example. Qatar buying PSG and getting the 2022 World Cup another one.

Youβre kidding, right?
The process of states with poor human rights records pouring money into sports teams and events in order to improve their reputation and image with countries who previously sanctioned or criticised them for the human rights abuses? It has its own Wikipedia page ffs π
