Your derision towards these peoples won't change their mind -- understanding their needs and helping them to fill it with compassion, patience, work, and dialogue will bring us closer than your finger-pointing and shaming rhetoric.

This is a multi-faceted crisis that requires *all* of us, not just some of us. I want no part of a movement that doesn't also center voices from red states, from Appalachia, from poor and working class backgrounds.

I have no more patience for liberal friends who jeer when working-class people are also harmed by Trump’s policies — especially those who didn’t vote or voted for him. Like I’ve read elsewhere, it’s giving “she deserves to be *ssaulted because she’s dressed like that.”
