There’s a similar thing in Zadar in Croatia, only its a sea organ, it’s pipes are built into a pier so the ocean waves becomes sounds, I sat by it for hours, it’s mesmerizing.

Yes, it’s the transparent plastic sheet that the art store Michaels has on the front of its cheap packs of canvas. I paint mostly onto that and sometimes onto baking foil that I put behind it. Mostly tho the foil is to add a shimmer through the plastic. What do you use it for?

A snowy Icelandic volcano splits the canvas in half, below is the water with basking shark and seals, and orange lava flow, above is yellow smoke and 2 common snipe birds.

‘Iceland’; the 2nd 24”x36” canvas I’ve painted as part of my series titled ‘Before the Great Amnesia’, an imagining of art as it might be if we regain what we lost when we gathered into towns and forgot ourselves (in about 10-8,000BC).

The Canadian Opera Company is near where I volunteer so I often pick up rush tickets for the evening’s show. Part of the Epstein Class’s strategy is to break us with horror stories, and part of my resistance is to indulge in great culture. Last night was The Barber of Seville, a superb show! #art

A mix of 4 cups soya mince, 1 cup each of grated carrot, onion, beets, and peas, then spices like allspice, onion, garlic, and curry powder, oregano, thyme, and salt and pepper. Plus a couple tbsp each of molasses, soy sauce, and ketchup to finish off. Cooked for about 30 mins.

A new painting, acrylic on 24”x36” canvas, that tells of a camping trip to Frontenac in 2025, when I met an owl, plenty of water-snake, and turtles. It’s influenced by the art of Pacita Abad, Norval Morrisseau, and general principles of Anishinaabe art.

A solar photo showing the sun rising and moving through to afternoon in the woods of Upstate NY for a full year (2025). The white lines show a bright day, the dull lines mean it was cloudy that day.

Last Xmas I put a tin-can sun camera in the Upstate NY woods. It’s unsafe for me to visit the US now as I oppose child abuse, etc, so a friend just retrieved the can. The image shows the sun moving thru midday for the entire 1st year of the devil’s 2nd term.

Ha, I did a similar thing to you, I listened to 2 episodes in 1 day instead of just 1. But then I made myself slow down. I want not to be in so much of a rush. I’m not on Facebook but I can see that group being a thing. Next year I’ll give reading it day by day a try, as you’ve done.

It’s a relevant time of year to read it, did you plan the time on purpose? I just finished the BBC audio adaptation today, really enjoyed it.
